The Brand ladha was born from a desire to create timeless and versatile jewelry inspired by worldly and fearless women. My hope is to create elegant and understated jewelry that evokes a sense of wanderlust with a classic feel. I want my designs to feel luxurious yet wearable. The jewelry should make a statement but also feel effortless.

"ladha" is the Swahili word for Flavor “ladha” is the Swahili word for Flavor, synonymous with pleasure, taste and joy. As we dress ourselves, our jewelry serves as “seasoning” and helps to project our true personality and individual style. The intent behind my designs is to promote self expression and confidence. ladha allows the wearer to shine as they move through the world, flaunting their unique flavor.

The Designer Lindsay was raised by strong women who traveled the globe, and taught her to value and appreciate cultural aesthetics and all things artistic. She grew up admiring the many precious and wearable treasures that would later be handed down as family heirlooms. After years of making jewelry as a hobby she set off to study metalsmithing in the desert highlands of Mexico. Shortly after she continued her fine jewelry training at the renowned Revere Academy in San Francisco and later launched her jewelry brand, ladha in 2019. All jewelry is made by hand with love in her Oakland, California studio.

New Work
While completing the JLP program, my aim was to expand on the pieces in my current collection.
I wanted to see if I could stretch the current design aesthetics to create more pieces and a more
cohesive group of designs incorporating new ideas and techniques. I not only expanded on
the more organic statement jewelry styles but added in more fine pieces that incorporated precious
and semi precious stones. The culmination was a group of pieces that all felt versatile
and easy to wear while remaining refined and luxurious.
